STUDENTS - RESEARCH ASSISTANTS

  • Stephanie Alexander

I was so excited to work with Dr. Pei on this project! AI and robotics are on the rise in our industry! I was really interested in looking into the power dynamics as a result of implementing these new technologies. Although this would be my first experience doing research, I am so grateful that this program has the bet mentors to guide me.

  • Hadara Gordon

I have been working closely with Dr. Shen and Dr. Goldenberg since June 2022 in researching the communicational efficacy of hiking trail signage. We have quantified this utilizing eye tracking technology and skin conductance sensors, and I have absolutely loved working on this team! I’ve gotten the opportunity to work with so many different people, and I have been able to share our findings at conferences such as the Graduate Student Research Conference in Hospitality and Tourism and IMEX America.

  • Anna Lantuono

I have learned so much and have really enjoyed my time as a research assistant so far! I wanted to be a research assistant because I thought it would be a great involvement and that I would learn more about the Experience Industry through a research perspective. It has allowed me to gain insight and collaborate with my peers in a field that I am passionate about as well as aiding my professional development and experience. Being a research assistant has not only made me more knowledgeable, but also a more confident student in EIM.

  • Lucy McLaughlin

In my role as a Research Assistant, I am fortunate to collaborate closely with Dr. Pei Zhang on investigating distinct challenges prevalent in our industry. These experiences have given me valuable insights, significantly enhancing my understanding of the industry perspectives I may encounter in my future endeavors within EIM.

  • Aja Lynn Tsutsumi

Being a research assistant has given me so many opportunities to experience cutting edge technology that we have here as well as attend conferences. I have already learned so much in my position as a research assistant and am excited to take the skills I learn here and apply them in my future career.
